Ana Lucía Martínez is one of the marquee signings CF Monterrey made to strengthen the Rayadas squad. The veteran has experience playing in Europe with Napoli, AS Roma, and Sampdoria, and she’ll look to translate that to Liga MX Femenil.
Furthermore, Martínez chose to join Rayadas as she sought a career challenge and aimed to contend for championships. In a conversation with ABC Deportes, the newly signed Monterrey forward highlighted her motivation for joining the Liga MX Femenil, emphasizing the team’s ambitious goals.
“I think I was looking for a significant challenge, especially to join an ambitious, competitive team with values,” Martínez told the outlet. “Rayadas is a prominent club in Mexico that aims for a title, and that was something that motivated me a lot.”

The Guatemalan international emphasized that, even though she has only been with the team for a brief period, the training sessions and the first match of the 2024 Clausura tournament have clearly shown her that the squad is fully aware of its goals and possesses the necessary qualities to win a championship.
