Jesús “Tecatito” Corona will begin his second stint with CF Monterrey after 10 years playing in Europe. The 30-year-old is in the back end of his prime years, but one former Rayado believes the squad will still get the best version of Tecatito.

César “Chelito” Delgado notes that his former teammate with Monterrey will add his quality and magic. He mentions that the Mexican player’s ten-year experience playing in Europe contributes to his leadership abilities.

“I think it will give him the touch of hierarchy that the European player has; after a long time [playing abroad], Tecatito has that,” Delgado said (h/t Telediario). “Surely, he will not have the explosiveness and dribbling he had when he was 20 years old, but it will give him a different touch.

“It’s going to give him things that he can handle in the team, the break. He’s not going to lose the dribble. He still has it. They’re going to see a more thoughtful player, not as revulsive as he was when he was a kid. He’s going to give a lot of hierarchy to the team.”

Delgado expressed his happiness for the winger’s return to the club. He remembered the player for his skill and aggression and identified with the team’s colors.

“It made me very happy that Tecatito returned not only to his team, which saw him born, but it is also like going back to his home, with his family, his people,” Delgado added. “He has everything in Monterrey. It seems great that he has returned. It makes me happy for the kind of player he is.

“I remember that we saw him do interesting, beautiful, striking things, we supported him, our jaws dropped with the things he did because he was and continues to be a different player.”

When will Monterrey present Tectatito Corona to the supporters?

Rayados announced on Wednesday that the club will unveil its newest reinforcement during a presentation at 6:00 p.m. local time at the BBVA Stadium. The stadium doors for the event will be open at 4:30 p.m. local time.

“After his successful 10-year stint in Europe, let’s welcome Tecatito on his return home,” the statement said. “We are waiting for you with your family this Saturday at their presentation at BBVA so that we all have a great experience! Free entry: Doors 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.”
