The summer transfer window has only a handful of days left until it closes on Sept. 1. As a result, all eyes are on whether CF Monterrey can finalize the transfer of Sevilla FC winger Jesús “Tecatito” Corona.

Sevilla is currently having an exodus of players, with goalkeeper Alex Bono heading to Al-Hilal and left-back Marcos Acuña joining Aston Villa. So Tecatito Corona could be next in line to leave the Spanish club in the coming days.

According to El Sevillista’s  Máximo de la Cruz Ramírez, Rayados is offering their Mexican international a three-year contract to return to his former club.

Regarding the potential wages, Monterrey has a staggering $4 million per season salary on the table for the Sevilla player. So the player will be paid handsomely should he decide to return.

Monterrey’s potential acquisition of Tecatito would inject new energy and excitement into their impressive attack. Tecatito has played in Europe for 10 years, playing with FC Twente, FC Porto, and now Sevilla.

During his European career, the former Monterrey player won the 2019-20 Player of the Year award in the Portuguese league. Furthermore, he won three league titles and two Portuguese cups with Porto.

Only time will tell whether Tecatito will make the momentous decision to embrace the allure of his home country once again.
