Johan Rojas arrived in Monterrey on Sunday, as the Colombian will help reinforce the left wing position for the 2024 Apertura season. Several reporters arrived at the Monterrey International Airport to get the player’s first words.

According to journalist Pipe Sierra, Monterrey will pay Colombian side La Equidad $2.5 million for the 21-year-old. Moreover, the player will sign a four-year contract with Rayados, with La Equidad keeping 20 percent of the player’s rights so they can benefit from a potential future sale of the youngster.

One of the questions that Rojas answered was about the mindset he would bring to his new club.

“A young person who comes to work, with dreams, eager to achieve something great in Monterrey,” Rojas told the media (h/t ABC Deportes). “The most important thing is to bring the suitcase full of dreams, and I come willing to fulfill them.

“It’s something beautiful, something I had dreamed of, being on a big team. I arrived at the biggest team in Mexico to earn my place. Everything is through hard work [and] to bring a lot of joy to Rayados fans.”

Rojas has 70 appearances across all competitions for La Equidad, scoring seven goals and recording 10 assists
