Katty Martínez’s arrival to join CF Monterrey’s women’s team appears to be a matter of time, as one report confirms that the Mexican goal-scorer will be returning to the northern part of the country.
The 26-year-old arrives from Club América, where she scored 15 goals this Clausura season. Moreover, Las Aguilas fell to Rayadas in the Clausura final on penalty kicks as the squad lifted their third Liga MX Femenil title in its history.
365Scores’ Fernando Esquivel reported on Sunday that Martínez will be a new player for Rayadas, pending signature and official announcement. Furthermore, the information reveals that she will sign a two-year contract with the option of more in case of meeting objectives.
Martínez will soon leave Club América and become the first historic forward to play for Tigres UANL and Rayadas. From 2017 to 2021, she played for crosstown rival and left the northern Mexican club in 2022, playing for Club América for the last three years.
Rayadas won’t be adding Martínez to bolster their attack as one report suggests that Manchester United forward Lucía García will be arriving from the English club to the Mexican side.
