The CF Monterrey squad rested on Sunday and Monday, with the team returning to training on Tuesday. Ahead of the contest against Club América, there’s an injury update on Jesús Gallardo, Luis Romo, and Stefan Medina.

El Porvenir provided the latest information on the trio of players. According to the outlet, Medina and Gallardo joined the training sessions with the rest of the team.

Following some muscle issues, Medina was absent from a friendly match against River Plate and several Liga MX matches against Santos, Querétaro, and Atlético de San Luis.

Meanwhile, Gallardo has been sidelined with the Rayados team throughout the year as he continues his recovery from a muscle problem.

Is Luis Romo in doubt for the clash vs. Club América?

Nonetheless, Romo’s situation is different. Due to specific muscle problems, he underwent specialized training on Tuesday, which led to his separation from the rest of the team. Although he participated in the Matchday 1 game against Club Puebla, the midfielder has not played since then.

Manager Fernando Ortiz has approximately three days left to finalize the team lineup for the upcoming match against Club América at the Azteca Stadium. During this time, he’ll determine whether key players like Medina, Gallardo, and Romo will be available or not for the game.
