The winter transfer window is taking shape, and CF Monterrey is maneuvering the potential departures to make way for arrivals. One player that appears to be on his way out is Joao Rojas.
If Rayados wants to bring in foreign players this window, they’ll need to offload players occupying those spots on the team. Rojas is one of them, and 365 Scores reports that the Ecuador international is on the way out.
Where is Rayados winger Joao Rojas going to play next season?
According to the report, Rojas would be very close to becoming a Mazatlán FC player thanks to his agent’s offer to the club. However, there are two major hurdles before a transfer gets done.
The first is that Mazatlán needs to offload Venezuelan international Eduard Bello, who would be very close to signing with Atlas FC. Meanwhile, the second hurdle is Ecuadorian’s high salary, so if a deal were to occur, Rayados would probably need to chip in.
Rojas arrived in Monterrey in 2022, hoping to become a significant player. However, the former Emelec player suffered a Cruciate ligament tear, causing him to miss 26 matches. The 26-year-old showed promise, but Rayados cannot afford to have him occupy a foreign spot, so expect him to exit in the coming days.
