CF Monterrey’s Maximiliano Meza and Víctor Guzmán are doubtful for the match against Club Pachuca on Saturday at the BBVA Stadium.

ABC Deportes reported that both footballers trained separately from the rest of the team this Thursday at El Barrial. As a result, their participation in the Matchday 6 match is subject to their recovery progress.

Neither of the two footballers is ruled out for the match. During Friday’s training session, it will be assessed whether they can rejoin the group practice or if they will be given rest to aid their recovery.

Guzmán and Meza were the only two Monterrey footballers who did not make the trip to face Comunicaciones FC. They traveled back to Monterrey from Mexico City one day after the match against Club América.

ABC Deportes learned that the two players were ruled out at the last minute as a precautionary measure. This was done so that they could arrive in optimal condition against the Tuzos.

The absences of Guzmán and Meza would be the only ones for Rayados in the match against Pachuca. The injured players Luis Romo, Jesús Gallardo, and Stefan Medina have already definitively returned and had activity. Meanwhile, Gerardo Arteaga has already served the suspension he carried from Genk.
