Joao Rojas’ future with CF Monterrey remains uncertain. Despite being notified that he will not continue with Rayados, the club’s management is trying to resolve this issue as soon as possible before the start of the 2024 Clausura tournament.
One likely action involves ending the 26-year-old’s contract, allowing Rojas to choose his next destination. Telediario reported on Thursday, citing a source, that Rayados would indeed decide to terminate Rojas’ contract, which has two years remaining on the deal.
Furthermore, the Ecuadorian player is unwilling to entertain Mexican football offers. Consequently, he will return to Ecuador in the coming days to figure out the next phase of his career.
Rojas has been doing exercises separately from the team since the beginning of the preseason. As a result, he’s dissatisfied with the current situation affecting the footballer.
Therefore, he intends to return to his country to regain this rhythm and playing time. The end goal for him is to be considered again for the Ecuador National Team.
