CF Monterrey begins their 2024 Apertura season on Friday with their Matchday 1 contest against Club Puebla. Rayadas will also start a new era with Amelia Valverde as their manager.
Furthermore, the club has bolstered the women’s team. There are the additions of Merel Van Dongen, Ana Lucía Martínez, Tanna Sánchez, and Daniela Monroy. As a result, Rayadas’ primary objective is to win the championship this season.
Nicole Pérez emphasized the team’s well-defined objectives. Rayadas wants a solid start to the tournament to likely build positive momentum for this new project. The squad also aims to secure a spot in the final, a feat that has eluded them in recent seasons.
“Our main goal is to be champions,” Pérez told reporters. “Obviously, we’re taking it step by step. First, we have to start the tournament with the same ambition, match by match, knowing that we have a strong group and good additions that will contribute positively. We want to reach a final and experience that excitement again.”
