CF Monterrey has reportedly landed their new striker, Brandon Vazquez, this winter transfer window. The 25-year-old arrives from FC Cincinnati, where he appeared in 127 MLS matches.
On Wednesday, The Athletic, citing sources, reported that the agreement between Monterrey and Cincinnati is set at around $7.5 million. There’s an additional $1 million possible in add-ons and a sell-on clause included.
Although the transfer isn’t official yet, we spoke with Bryan Weigel of Cincy Soccer Talk to get insight into the Mexican-American goal scorer. Additionally, the podcast previews a potential Rayados-Cincinnati clash in the Concacaf Champions Cup Round of 16.
