Tecatito Transfer Drama: CF Monterrey Faces Twist with Conflicting Reports

The transfer saga involving Sevilla FC winger Jesús “Tecatito” Corona continues to be a rollercoaster ride. As the summer transfer deadline nears, there’s conflicting information regarding a possible move to CF Monterrey.

Let’s start with the first report from Super Deportivo’s César Luis Merlo, who relayed the remarks made by Tecatito’s representative, Matías Bunge. The agent clarified that everything in the media and social networks is false.

“As of today, there is no offer from Monterrey,” Bunge told Super Deportivo. “They already said that [a transfer] had been closed and that I had met in Los Angeles, and none of that was true.”

Furthermore, Merlo reports, citing several sources, that Rayados never made a formal offer for Tecatito. As a result, it adds further mystery to the ongoing transfer saga.

These remarks made by Bunge aren’t the first time he has spoken to a media outlet in México. He also recently talked to AS México, denying any potential transfer to Rayados.

Then there’s the other information provided by TNT Sports México’s Emiliano Raggi. He reveals that Sevilla seeks the departure of Tecatito, and the club reached an agreement with Monterrey.

Still, the player needs to accept the offer to facilitate his return to Rayados. Raggi adds that the 30-year-old would command a salary of €5 million per season.

The contract terms were recently revealed in a separate report, which disclosed that the Mexican international has a three-year contract offer to return to his former club. As for his salary, Monterrey has a staggering $4 million per season proposal on the table for the Sevilla player.
